This summer we once again joined up with other BGCSY youth clubs for some trips and activities. We visited the rides at Drayton Manor, saw the animals at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, enjoyed the thrills and spills on the Rother Valley Water Park, had a bake-off (after rain stopped our Sports Day plans), played outdoor Lazer Tag, and took a coach to the beach at Cleethropes, where we enjoyed Fish n Chips, wading into the sea, and of course burying people!

Last week we went away with members of both our junior and senior youth clubs to the Lake District. We stayed at the High Row centre for 3 nights and took part in Kayaking, Cliff Jumping, Bushcraft, Climbing, Abseiling and much more. It was a great few days, and the weather (mostly) behaved for a brilliant time.

Realised we haven't posted any pictures on here for a while so here's a taste of what we've been up to this year, from our bake-off, trips to Jump and Quasar, Pancake day and our very own baked anti-war message.

In early August, as part of a Summer Activity programme aimed to reward club members who'd had a difficult couple of years with lockdowns etc, we went away for 3 days to Cumbria, staying at the Ormside Mill residential centre. We had a great time, taking part in Kayaking, a Ghyll Walk, Climbing and a hike up a small hill (or Mount Everest depending who you ask!!). It was a fantastic few days, and was brilliant to see young people from our Junior and Senior clubs getting on so well.

At February Half Term we went on BGCSY trips to Airhaus inflatable park, Swimming & Ice-Skating at the Doncaster Dome and held our annual Youth Club Bake-Off, where the standard and competition was as high as ever.
-
During the October Half Term we took part in BGCSY trips to Go-Karting, Indoor Lazer Tag and the annual Indoor Sports Tournament
-
In the second week, due to the problems with the water at Rother Valley we went to Centertainment to play crazy golf and bowling, then Wednesday was Mountain Biking around Derwent Reservoir, and finally on Friday there was a big game of Rounders and outdoor sports in Woodseats.

This Summer we once again took part in the BGCSY Activity Programme, along with Affinity Youth Club (and a couple of others) we went to Lightwater Valley theme park, Outdoor Lazer Tag and took part in a club challenge against the other clubs, competing in club and community based activities, and I'm glad to say that for the second (or maybe even 3rd) year in a row we were victorious!!!
-
This year for our Spring Residential we went to Goblin Combe centre near Bristol.
